August update

Just a quick update from the Standing tall committee and co-ordinator; we want to let you know that despite the unprecedented and extremely difficult times we have all been enduring through the pandemic situation, we are STILL working behind the scenes to try and resume our program as soon as we safely can.
We really miss our weekly catch-ups with the kids and the mentors, and we are working with the schools through the ever-changing landscape.
We have hashed out and tried several alternative options to maintain the engagement of our mentors and mentees, largely to know avail given the complicated and ever-changing landscape we find ourselves in!
One thing the committee was unanimous in on Monday evening at our ZOOM committee meeting - was that we maintain the optimism towards hopefully still being able to get some form of our program up and running in whatever limited capacity we are allowed to in term 4, 2020.
How and when and if this takes shape is yet to be discovered. All we can ask is that you stay tuned, and stay safe!
